The Recurring Revenue Kit

Turn a one-time build into a monthly fee, then one client into five retainers.

You watched the $500 client become the $10,000 client, and how one client becomes five retainers. Here's both. This is how a job turns into a business.

Part 1 — The Setup + Retainer Template

The one-time guy delivers the agent and vanishes. You won't. You charge to build it, then charge every month to run it. The monthly fee pays for the fact that the agent keeps working and someone's watching it.

Simple offer template:

  • Setup (one-time): Build, test, and launch the AI receptionist. Covers intake, call flow, connecting it to how they take bookings, and go-live.
  • Monthly retainer (recurring): Run and maintain the agent so it keeps performing. Each month includes: monitoring and fixing anything that breaks before they notice; monthly tweaks as their business changes (hours, offers, pricing); a monthly report showing calls handled and jobs booked; priority support for changes.

Fill in your own numbers. Structure matters more than price: setup once, then a monthly fee for as long as the agent is live. Small enough to be an easy yes, big enough to be worth your time.

Part 2 — The Upsell Ladder (1 client into 5 retainers)

You don't need more clients. You need more agents per client. Each rung is its own recurring fee.

  1. After-hours answering. Your foot in the door. Solves the obvious missed-call pain.
  2. Overflow / missed-call catch. Picks up daytime callers the front desk can't get to.
  3. Follow-up and reactivation. Mines their dead lead list and old customers and rebooks them. Prints money because the leads are already theirs.
  4. Appointment reminders. Cuts no-shows. Every saved no-show is money they feel.
  5. Reporting. A monthly reporting layer that shows what it's all doing. Earns a fee and keeps every other retainer alive.

Same client, five agents, five recurring fees. Start at rung one, prove it, then offer the next only after the last is working. Depth, not width.
